Holy Eucharist with Lessons and Carols
____________________________________________________________
Are
you coming to the 4:00 p.m. service on Christmas Eve? Would you
like to assist as a reader or by bringing forward crèche figures?
At
4:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve we will gather to celebrate the Crèche
Blessing with Holy Eucharist. At this service we tell the
Christmas story through brief readings alternated with appropriate
carols. As we sing each carol, an individual or family brings
forward figures for the manger scene. We
need readers (of any age, they need only be able to read aloud!) and
volunteers to bring the crèche figures forward. Sign up in the
Parish Hall or call Jo Barrett right away!!!

Are you coming to the 10:00 p.m. service on Christmas Eve? The 10:00 a.m. service on Christmas morning?
Readers
are needed for both the Festival Eucharist at 10:00 p.m. on Christmas
Eve and the 10:00 a.m. service on Christmas morning. Readers of
all ages are welcome – ability to read comfortably out loud is the only
requirement! Please contact the parish office to volunteer for either of these services ASAP. Thank you!

Thank you!
Check
out our beautiful Church. Ed Hopper, Barbara Hopper, Bill
Lightfoot, Adra Miller, Colleen Gibson, Joan Lunn, Jack Reid and Carol
Reid braved the pending snowstorm to decorate for the Christmas
Season. The results are truly magnificent! Thank you!

The
Pageant Players, the Choirs and all the folks who directed, supported
and provided food for this year's pageant have been working so
hard. Come to the Pageant at the 10:30 service this Sunday
(12/21/08) to see the results of their efforts. You will be glad
you did!!!

A Thank You Note!
Hello,
Trinity Family! I hope everyone is well and I am just writing to
thank you so much for the final exam care package you sent me. It
was much appreciated and much needed! These past couple of weeks
have been academically stressful, and I am greatly looking forward to
coming home for the holiday season. Being far from home in a new
place has made me re-evaluate the friends and support systems I have at
home, and it is more than comforting to know that my Trinity Church
foundation is still home waiting for me and wishing the best for me on
this journey of my life. Thank you so much once again and I will
see you all soon for Christmas! With much love, Elizabeth Primeau
And Another One!
Dear Trinity,
Thank
you very much for sending me a care package. It is full of all
sorts of useful and yummy things! It was very thoughtful of you
to send it to me even though I am not in school anymore. It is
nice to know that I will always have a home at Trinity even though I
live far away. I always think fondly of Trinity and remember the
loving community in which I grew up. Thank you again! Yours
in Christ, Lauren McLeavey
And Another One!
To All at Trinity,
Thanks
so much for the thoughtful care package. It really helped me get
through exams. See you all on Christmas Eve! From, Doug Wilson

Assisting at Mid-Week Services
Beginning January 7th,
we will be offering the Holy Eucharist at Trinity every Wednesday at
noon in the Library. Holy Eucharist is also offered in the chapel
at Brooksby Village on the first Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m.
(no service in January since it would have been New Year’s Day) and at
the Masconomet Health Care Center on the third Wednesday of each month
at 10:30 a.m. (December 17th and January 21st).
Would you like to assist by reading a lesson or offering the
chalice? You need not commit to being available on a regular
schedule. For further information or to volunteer, please contact
Jo Barrett.

Soup Kitchen Update
As
always, we are grateful for the willing hands and hearts who have
generously provided for Trinity's ministry at Haven From Hunger this
past month. Thanks to the Cooking with Trinity Friends, we have had
plenty of entrees for our 2 servings at Haven from Hunger. Bill
Lightfoot, Patrick Barber and Jane Dickenson joyously ( I wasn't there
but I know that's how they are!) served the meal at Haven this past
week.
Our
next serving is December 26th, the day after Christmas. At this point,
we are in need only for salad or vegetable for that day. We serve
at Haven next January 9th and are in need of servers, salad,
bread and desserts. There is still plenty of frozen entrees to cover
that meal. You can donate any holiday desserts that can be frozen for
the soup kitchen ministry. Trinity will also be serving at Salem
Mission for 120 people on January 30th and we will be making food
requests again. Save the date Friday February 6th for our next
Cooking with Trinity Friends for the soup kitchen ministry. Sign ups
are in the Parish Hall and you can call/email Kathy Farnham ilovelucie@shaklee.net 978-887-0145.
And
thank you for being a part of this miraculous ministry in spirit and
physical offerings. As most of us who are so fortunate, celebrate this
beautiful holiday gathered together with family and friends around
bountiful tables of food, please pray specifically for the Holy Spirit
to cover Trinity's soup kitchen ministry and our neighbors who are
served at Haven From Hunger and the Salem Mission.
God Bless!

Chili for your Super Bowl Party
For
the upcoming Super Bowl, the Trinity teens will be making chili and
other foods for all to enjoy. The cost for one quart of beef chili will
be $10 and $7 for one quart of vegetable chili. Keep in mind that as
time goes on, we add items to the menu but we would just like everyone
to note that chili is a definite! Order forms will appear in the Parish
Hall in early January. Thanks!
